National Student Security Scheme

Every child is exposed to the risk of accidents in their daily school life, however some students are more at risk than others, apart from child-made risks, car accidents, playing at school, falling from trees, stairs or other incidental causes, snakebite, falling into water, short circuit, poisoning, death or other consequential injury due to breakdown of electric vehicle etc. Similar hazards are equally responsible for accidents.

For this purpose, the National Student Protection Scheme is an insurance cover designed to provide a single fixed cover and fixed price package policy to all students in rural and urban areas of Maharashtra, so that they can have comprehensive insurance cover for their entire interest, liability and themselves in one cover, without any clauses stay.

Approved by Ministry of corporate affairs Government of India CIN NO: U85320PN2018NPL180645 National and Central Maha Sakharana Bima Yojana Awareness Program by Maha NGO Development Association of India Rashtriya Vidyarthi Suraksha Yojana (free fin MNDA Insurance Powered By License Number : 113231) Health of students in our state of Maharashtra, "National Student Security Scheme" has been launched to provide financial security in life and education. Also, it is being applied to all the students in the age group of 6 to 18 in the state to provide security cover to every student in terms of damage due to accidents. In this, students of all recognized schools under the jurisdiction of Department of School Education, Tribal Development Department, Social Justice Department and Private Educational Institutions are included. Under this scheme, every student will get an annual accident insurance cover of Rs. 1 lakh for just Rs.50.

"National Student Security Yojana" will provide financial security in health, life and education to every student in the state, the bright future of India depends on the youth of the country and therefore "National Student Security Yojana" strives to ensure that all students of Maharashtra get education in schools or skill development institutes is Good physical health along with education is very important so the insurance plan will be applicable 365 days 24 hours i.e. student is eligible for an insurance claim if any accident or illness occurs due to the accident. It is intended for the members of various groups, especially all the students in rural and urban areas of Maharashtra, the minimum sum insured is only 50 ₹ per annum, this policy provides Rs. It will be applicable for one year. And the insurance cover is provided as follows.

What is included

Rs. 1 lakh personal accident insurance for students.

Permanent total or permanent partial disability insurance for students ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 50,000.

Insurance for students ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 10,000 in case of admission to hospital for 72 hours in an accident

What is not included

Any claim arising out of pre-existing disability

Any payment in case of death of the insured

Insured engaged in dangerous occupation or activity due to deliberate self-harm, suicide or attempted suicide Insured under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs

Venereal disease or insanity

Arise from any violation of law

Claim arising out of war, nuclear threats etc.

Insurance Claim

In case of accidental death or accident of a student, an application for an insurance claim should be made within 48 hours on the website of the National Student Security Scheme.

It is very important to have good physical health along with education, for this the insurance plan will be valid 24 hours a day, i.e. if the student ever suffers from an accident or illness, the student is eligible for an insurance claim.

How to file a claim?

For Section I Reimbursement Claims:

In case of emergency hospitalization, a written online/mail/fax of admission should be sent to the TPA/Association within 72 hours of admission to the hospital and in case of scheduled admission, 48 hours before admission.

Before discharge from the hospital, discharge summary, investigation report and other relevant documents (Claim Form - Part A and Part B) can be obtained from the hospital authorities. All original documents should be submitted to the TPA/Office within 15 days from the date of discharge.

After treatment, pre-hospitalization and post-hospitalization expenses can be claimed separately.

Post-hospitalization All original documents should be submitted within 15 days of completion of treatment.

Section II & III

Claims under Section II & Section III of the Policy will be settled by the Company.

Notice of Claim:

The Company should be informed in writing online/mail/fax within 48 (seventy-two) hours of the occurrence of the accident.

Written notice of death, unless reasonable cause is shown, should be given before the cremation and in any case, within one calendar month (30 days) of the death.

What documents are required for a claim (original)?

Documents to be submitted within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of notification

Claims under Section II & Section III of the Policy will be settled by the Company.

In case of injury to hands and feet due to motor vehicle accident, while playing at school, falling from a tree, ladder or other incidental cause, snakebite, falling into water, short circuit, poisoning, death or other incidental injury due to breakdown of electric vehicle etc. In this regard, all the students in your school should be insured under the National Security Scheme.
